Laura J. Beatty

Laura is a veteran producer with a distinguished track record in news and documentary. Her productions have aired both nationally, on HDNet’s signature news program “World Report,” and internationally on Al-Jazeera English and Reuters Consumer TV. Her stories cover the gamut of political, economic, medical and cultural issues: from the spread of terrorism in Morocco to the spread of diabetes in New York City. Her first feature-length documentary, "The Road to Sulha" (2005), is a cinema vérité exploration of peace and reconciliation work between Israelis and Palestinians. Laura has reported on stories around the world, including Israel, Palestine, Morocco, Kenya, Nepal and India. She earned her master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from New York University, where she was given the John Peter and Anna Zenger Award and the Sidney Gross Investigative Journalism Award. Laura is currently based in New York City.
